Vonage Business is proud to have selected the American Red Cross as a charitable partner for the next four-months. From the end of September 2013 through January 2014, we have pledged to donate 5% of new customers’ first month service charges to the American Red Cross specifically to support their efforts in disaster relief.
The amount of aid the American Red Cross has delivered in the last year is truly amazing with 9,940,325 meals supplied and 6,883,648 relief items provided. For more than 130 years, the American Red Cross has been helping people globally and in the United States with nearly 600 chapters across the U.S.
The American Red Cross has identified disaster relief as the first of five key service areas and we believe this is a perfect complement to our services and mission. Many of the same features that make a Vonage business phone system the best choice for everyday business also help keep a business going in the face of unexpected events or disasters.
Our goal to deliver the best phone system for business has led us to develop an ability to provide true call continuity regardless of power outages or Internet service interruptions. Because these events often occur during both natural and man-made disasters, our solution can have tremendous positive impact at very difficult times. Some of the key features included for all customers that keep them connected are mobile apps, plug-and-play anywhere capability for phones, and flexible call routing configurability including our Call Continuity functionality.
Given our ability to help our customers and community in this way, we decided that it would be meaningful to enter into a relationship with the American Red Cross in support of their disaster relief efforts. The phone system that gives you more is now giving more back.
