It seems everything is ‘virtual’ in this day in age. From virtual video games to virtual tours, we have access to more than ever before. The same rings true for the telephone systems used by real estate professionals. Instead of a physical piece of equipment you buy and store in your small business, a virtual PBX performs all the functions of an in-house phone system, but in the cloud. This means that all the functionality of a phone system is delivered to your phone over the Internet. This spells big business functionality for even the smallest businesses, and much more. Imagine being able to take your office with you wherever you traveled to manage an open house or meet your clients to sign closing paperwork. At Vonage Business, we make that possible with our Work from Anywhere feature. Work from Anywhere – from Your Office to an Open House Our small business virtual PBX system is portable in every sense of the word. Like mobile phones, a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone can be taken nearly everywhere, as long as there is a broadband connection. Just plug your phone into your Internet connection, and it’s like you’re back at the office. You can make and receive calls from your company number, transfer calls to other employees in your company, and be accessible by extension dialing from the Virtual Receptionist. The Virtual PBX is accessible virtually anywhere! Portability is certainly a big advantage of a small business virtual PBX phone system, but another element not to be overlooked is its low cost. There is no PBX equipment to buy, we host it all for you, and you access it through your Internet connection. As a result, real estate businesses save on hardware costs, and then get continued savings through our low flat rate unlimited extension plans. You can call nationwide as much as you want for a low flat monthly rate, and get a suite of business grade features included at no extra charge. Advanced calling features used to only be available to very large companies that could afford to purchase sophisticated equipment and pay for a large number of phone lines. Today, thanks to high-speed broadband connections, all of the features of a Fortune 500 phone system are available to small businesses, even one-person real estate offices. If you’re ready to see how your realty office can benefit from a small business virtual PBX, get a free quote today! In today’s business world, most people have a mobile phone – but they aren’t powerful enough to handle all business calling needs. If you don’t have an Android or iPhone to work with our mobile apps, Vonage Business cloud PBX still provides the features your business requires and can also extend those features to other mobile phones. And of course, if you do have a smartphone the Vonage MobileConnect app seamlesly integrates wtih Android and iPhone (now updated for iOS10!). Stay Connected on the Go Call Forwarding allows employees to forward calls placed to their company extension to their mobile phone, but it doesn’t stop there. Because the call is routed through your cloud PBX, employees can still utilize PBX functionality from their mobile device. Calls can be transferred back to other extensions in your account, allowing for a seamless connection between employees in different locations. Mobile phones become an extension of the company phone system, instead of standalone and separate devices. Easy to Set Up, Easy to Use Simply add your mobile number into the user-friendly User Portal for your extension, and update the call settings as necessary. You can forward calls immediately, or set a rule to redirect to your desk phone after a few rings. Calls that aren’t answered at your mobile number can then be forwarded to your company voicemail. Mobility is an important part of doing business for many small companies, and that doesn’t have to mean a loss of communication. Vonage’s Cell Phone Integration is easy to use and is a powerful communication tool. And best of all, businesses that take advantage of Vonage’s cost saving cloud PBX service get this feature included for free. When your goal is to avoid missing business calls, this suite of mobility features lets you choose how to route your calls when you’re away from the office. If you’ve been looking for a reason to switch to a cloud-based phone system, our “Never Miss a Call” suite of features certainly offers a convincing set of options. We’ve grouped five mobility features together to let you choose how you route calls when you’re away from the office, or even briefly away from your desk. Our “Never Miss a Call” features include Call Forwarding, Follow Me, Simultaneous Ring, Voicemail and Do Not Disturb – giving users on each extension the power to direct exactly how they want calls to be handled. How it Works Say you’re leaving for the day, but you know a client may be calling you soon. That’s easy: Go to your User Portal, Desktop or Mobile App and quickly select one of our “Never Miss a Call” features (let’s use Call Forwarding, for this example). When you select Call Forwarding, all incoming calls to your office extension are automatically forwarded to the phone number you’ve pre-designated. Use this same process for enabling any feature in the “Never Miss a Call” suite. Your “Never Miss A Call” Options Direct how your calls are managed when you’re away from your desk with any one of these mobility features: Call Forwarding: Forward calls automatically to another extension or number. Follow Me: Forward your calls to multiple numbers, ringing in sequence. Simultaneous Ring: Set inbound calls to ring on multiple numbers you choose. Voicemail: Choose the number of rings before calls move to voicemail. Do Not Disturb: When you can’t take calls, move callers directly to voicemail. Why You’ll Like It Our “Never Miss a Call” suite is a major benefit of having a cloud-hosted phone system, keeping your mobile employees integrated within the business phone system wherever they are. Manage call routing anytime you’re away from your desk. Cut down on missed calls when you’re away. Select your preferred mobility feature from your User Portal, Desktop or Mobile App (or on the Admin Portal by your system administrator). Get Started You can quickly activate any of the five “Never Miss a Call” features on your User Portal, Desktop or Mobile App – or on the Admin Portal by your account administrator. Simple steps in advance are required to ensure call routing is customized to your preference (e.g., choosing phone numbers to which your calls should be forwarded). Instructional details are available on our Support Website, and you can always call a Customer Care representative for assistance. Back to Features Customer Quick Clips Decentralized Teams “Work from Anywhere” With the “Work from Anywhere” feature, our hosted PBX technology keeps employees connected to full phone system functionality when they’re on the go– wherever they have an internet/ broadband connection. Vonage Business phone service is delivered over the Internet, and IP phone connections are registered by an IP (Internet Protocol) address, rather than a physical phone jack in the wall. This means that the IP phone will register correctly regardless of which Internet connection it’s plugged into. Employees can take their IP phones home or on the road with them, and make and receive calls as if they were in the office. With hosted PBX, our business VoIP system allows employees to take their phone home, transfer calls to their cell phone, or even set up their extension to ring multiple phones at the same time. Many employees prefer to access phone system features on their mobile phone via the Vonage® MobileConnect app for Android™ and iPhone® (now updated for iOS 10!). How Can Hosted PBX Keep Me Connected? For employees who don’t want to take their desk phone with them, our Call Forwarding and Never Miss a Call features enhance the “Work from Anywhere” flexibility. From Vonage’s Online Portal, it’s easy to forward an extension to a mobile number. Business calls to a company extension can be forwarded to a cellphone seamlessly, and still retain the phone system functionality. This means that our hosted PBX service transfers calls that can go to company voicemail, or another extension within the company. Who Uses “Work from Anywhere”? Many businesses can benefit from the “Work from Anywhere” feature. Real estate agencies, insurance agencies, and construction firms have expressed that this feature is particularly valuable to the way they do business. Employees can easily work from home or on the road, with no interruption in their communication with clients and colleagues. Did we answer your question of “what is hosted PBX?” or “how can it help me work anywhere?” If not, or if you’re ready for a quote, fill out the form on the right, or just give us a call at 1-844-324-0340. Call Forwarding is a powerful feature that helps you and your employees stay connected. Many employees need to step out or travel from time to time, and Call Forwarding helps them stay connected when they are out of the office. Calls can be forwarded to a home phone or mobile number so that business calls are never missed. Easy to Use, Easy to Set Up Call Forwarding is a simple yet powerful feature that every employee can control from the User Portal / Admin Portal or from our Mobile iPhone and Android mobile app. Vonage Business incorporates a staggered call forwarding option (called Follow Me) that allows employees to receive calls at multiple numbers. Follow Me allows an incoming call to ring your desk phone first for a selected amount of time, and then forwards the call to another number for a selected amount of time, before sending the call to voicemail. Back to Features Follow Me is a great included feature for business professionals who find themselves out of the office, but need to stay connected at all times of the day. It’s part of our helpful Never Miss a Call options that enable you to always take your calls, no matter where you are. Through your user portal, admin portal, or Mobile app for iPhone and Android, you can customize your phone to “follow” you by ringing different numbers. View the example above – you can set your phone to ring your desk handset for 10 seconds, then ring your cell phone if there’s no answer, and then if there is still no answer the call will go to the voicemail of your choice. Back to Features If you’re looking for a multi-line phone system that can handle multiple calls across many devices, you will be glad to know that you can use up to three different phones on the same Vonage Business extension (e.g., desk phone at work, desk phone at home, softphone on your smartphone or laptop). Use the same phone number, voicemail box, and extension for all your registered phones at no additional cost. Benefits: A multi-line phone system is necessary these days, whether you’re on the road and using your smartphone to make business calls, or trying to close business deals from your laptop in a hotel room, or even giving up time at the beach house to check your messages. Multiples Devices on One Extension allows you to truly work from anywhere. No more lugging your phone around with you. No more plugging and unplugging the phone you’re not using. No more doing business with your cell phone when you’re out of the office. Just register a softphone or second office location with the same Vonage extension. Feedback: “This is amazing. Thank you!” – Matthew Lang, PowerProit. “I’ve been hoping for this! The reason I wanted this is I have an office in the U.S., plus two in Italy, and up to now had always carried around my phone.” – John Anderson, Ashlar LC. www.odradek-records.com “This is a cool new feature which allows you to make business calls from your cell phone or home phone but it can go through Vonage so it appears like it is coming from the business line.” – Lou Castillo, Investor Riches. www.investorriches.com The Flexibility of an IP Phone System Vonage’s hosted phones systems allow businesses to communicate much more efficiently than with traditional phone systems. IP telephony allows businesses to extend their phone system’s reach far beyond the walls of their brick and mortar location. IP Phones work by registering their unique IP addresses with the system each time they are plugged in. As long as a phone is connected to the Internet, it can be located by the phone system, and thus receive calls at the appropriate extension number. Now, with Multiple Devices on One Extension, each extension can register up to three different IP addresses to connect a call. And if you’re looking for a multi line phone system with one, powerful desk phone – check out the complete list of compatible phones for devices that can handle up to eight simultaneous calls. Back to Features March 9 2012 ArchivesWell, it’s the end of Telework Week and we’ve had a lot of fun sharing stories about how Vocalocity’s VoIP business phone service can help you stay connected – no matter where you are. One of the initiatives that Vocalocity supports is our internal Teleworking Program. Did you know that we actually won the Clean Air Campaign’s Telework Catalyst Award in 2011 for our innovative, earth-friendly program? It’s true – with our formalized teleworking program, our employees annually save about 78 minutes of productivity each day they telework and save the metro-Atlanta region a combined 115,000 miles of vehicle traffic. That’s a lot of emissions and traffic congestion reduced from the city! Meredith Roth is a business VoIP representative with Vocalocity who teleworks from her home once a week. She takes her laptop and plug-and-play phone home with her, and simply sets up her mobile office the next morning. It’s as easy as plugging in her phone to the Internet jack at her apartment and she’s ready to start taking calls! We had a short Q+A with Meredith about how teleworking has maintained productivity while ensuring a better home/life balance. Q: How long have you participated in the telework program? I have been participating in the telework program about a year now and it is absolutely fantastic Q: How long does it typically take you to drive to work? How much productivity do you think you save by not having to drive to and from work? I’m usually in my car about 40 minutes for a round trip commute. I am about 30 minutes more productive because I am able to start the day earlier in the morning and work a bit longer in the day by not fighting the morning and evening traffic congestion that plagues Atlanta. Q: Tell us a little about your teleworking routine at home. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? What about when you’re done for the day? To set everything up in the morning it takes about five minutes. Once everything is plugged in, I’m able to start the day from my living room couch. Everything works just as if I were working from the office. I’ve got the same direct dial, same extension number, and same voicemail. This enables me to be accessible to my customers despite not being physically in the office. When the day wraps up, I pack up my Vocalocity phone and laptop in a very averaged sized laptop case and put it in the car for the following day. Q: What are the biggest benefits of teleworking in your opinion? There are quite a few benefits that come to mind for teleworking. I would say that my top three are Increased Productivity Convenience Reduced Gas Expense Q: As an employee, do you have any tips for a prospective customer or a business owner thinking about getting VoIP to work from home? My tip for any prospective customers looking to implement VoIP for their home office would be make sure they have an adequate internet connection such as DSL, Cable, or Fiber, and to invest in a comfy chair. Other than that, it’s a no brainer.
